California Not Only State Hit Hard by Budget Woes, Paycuts

According to CNN Money.com, less than 5 months into Fiscal Year 2010, several states are looking at additional budget cuts due to staggering budget shortfalls.  Rhode Island has a $130.5 million revenue shortfall, and California has a whopping $7 billion revenue shortfall.  California will likely try to offset those shortfalls with major spending cuts in January 2010

Even with the Recovery Act passed in February 2009, the stimulus dollars have only been able to plug a 30 to 40 percent budget gap.  As the economic crisis continues, it is critical to control household spending and diversify your income.  That is why finding a part-time job has never been so critical for many households.  And as the economy does slowly improve, one lesson we've all learned from this mess is it's important to diversify.
